I provide individual psychotherapy, and occasionally group therapy, for adults. Over the course of thirty years, I have developed a private general practice with a sub-specialty in trauma, abuse, and trauma-related disorders (PTSD/post-traumatic stress disorder, Complex post-traumatic stress disorder, dissociative disorders). I also work with people struggling with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and other life struggles.
Appointments are usually 45 minutes in length and take place weekly or every other week, depending on circumstances. When possible I try to set up a standing appointment with people: same day and time from week to week.
Psychotherapy can help you address personal difficulties. It allows you, to talk openly and confidentially about your concerns and feelings with a trained professional in a confidential setting. Almost all types of psychotherapy involve developing a therapeutic relationship, communicating and creating a dialogue and working to overcome problematic thoughts or behaviors.
